As Halloween 2020 season has gone through, horror fans have been enjoyed many horror movies. The nerve-raising plot, gore, gosh stories, jump scares of this movie genre are being waited most this time. However, many horror fans and movie lovers are also disappointed as their highly-anticipated horror movies didn’t come out. The release dates have been postponed to the latter or to the next year. No one can say for sure the final release date schedules since this pandemic scenario. Most of the Studios are waiting for the theaters are open safely back. Some have been on online streaming instead.

A Quiet Place Part 2 is a movie about the Abbott family living in a world filled with lurking, and where noise means death. Facing many new fears, they are fighting for survival with noise-sensitive monsters. Emily Blunt (Evelyn Abbott) plays her excellent role as a brave mother who suffers from all the paint to protect her kids and family. Viewers will experience all the held-breath moments, keep silent and no one dares to talk.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw – May 2021
Spiral: From the Book of Saw also known as Spiral (2021) is an upcoming American horror movie and is the ninth entry of the Saw franchise. The movie stars Chris Rock, was original released on May 15th this year but was later delayed to its current release date on May 20, 2021. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, the movie is about the investigation of horrific murders by the two detectives Zeke Bank and William Schenk. They then are trapped in the killer’s game – Jigsaw and realize the killer targeting cops.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It also known as The Conjuring 3 has gone a long way since its first franchise hit the theater in 2013. After the success of Annabelle films, The Nun and The Curse of La Llorona, This upcoming supernatural ghost story movie by the Warner Bros horror universe will surely scary you with sudden popups of the devil. The movie was supposed to come out on September 10, 2020, but was later delayed to June 3, 2021. Hopefully, the movie will be released next year as scheduled. The main story once more time will follow the real-life paranormal investigators namely Ed and Lorraine Warren, starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. This time they are dealing with the real 1981 “Devil Made Me Do It” court case

Next, The Woman in the Window – a mystery thriller by the 20th Century Fox was first scheduled to be released on October 4, 2019 but then delayed due to negative responses from early test screenings and re-scheduled to be released on May 15, 2020. However, there is currently no official release date for the movie. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the US, more films are turning to streaming platforms. Luckily, this horror movie film with multiple A-list names attached to it, an official release date should be announced soon, sometime in the final months of 2020. Starring Amy Adams, Anna never leaves her apartment, witnessed things happen to her neighbor, then has to take matters into her own hands to find out what really happened to her neighbor.
Candyman – August 2021
The next title in the Horror Movies 2020 Release Date list is a horror movie directed by Nia DaCosta, produced by Jordan Peele. Its release date has been pushed from June 12 to September 25, 2020. The movie stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Anthony, is a reboot of the 1992 original of the same name. When moving into a loft in the now gentrified Cabrini with his partner, he soon encounters the true story behind Candyman.
Last Night In Soho – April 2021
The film Last Night in Soho by the director Edgar Wright is among horror movies scheduled to come out in 2020 but delayed later in the fall or might wait until 23 April 2021 due to Covid19. This psychological horror movie centers on a young girl with a passion for fashion design. As she is able to enter the 1960s where she can see her idol. And London things in the 1960s happen far different. The movie stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin McKenzie, Matt Smith, Terence Stamp, and Diana Rigg.
Antlers – February 2021
The movie Antlers was expected for its opening day in spring 2020 but then pushed back almost 1 year due to COVID19. The supernatural horror film written and directed by Scott Cooper and starring Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons. The movie centers on a school teacher (Keri Russell) and her brother as a policeman (Jesse Plemons) in convincing one of her students to conceal his supernatural creature. The film was adapted from Antosca’s short story “The Quiet Boy”. This horror movie release date is set for February 2021.
Escape Room 2 – January 2021
An upcoming American psychological horror movie as a sequel of The Escape Room 2019. Escape Room 2 movie by the director Adam Robitel, stars Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Isabelle Fuhrman, Thomas Cocquerel. The film was originally scheduled to be released on April 17, 2020. Its release date was subsequently changed multiple times, and in May 2020, it was scheduled to be released on January 1, 2021. In October 2020, Sony moved the film off its schedule to a later point in 2021. This sequel will continue picking up where the first leaves off.
